LSBC working with Lion Aid

Callum Jackson and Phillip Martin on their work placements with Lion Aid, registered charity for raising awareness of endangered African lions. Founder of the charity, Christine, was happy to have the boys on board and had this to say about them, “every day they have been ploughing the internet, researching up to date articles and documentaries, documenting evidence that supports our goals.”  Both Phillip and Callum are engaged in what they are doing, passionate in the role that they are playing, organising fundraising events on top of their research. The whole experience has opened their eyes to something that before they honestly ‘couldn’t have cared less’ about, but now is something that they ‘truly believe in supporting’. Not only do they now know about the importance of the role that Lion Aid plays, they have also had the opportunity  to witness how such a charity works, from analysing finances, realising how important donations really are, to sitting in on conference calls. The experience has led them to decide that they will do whatever they can to help, even when the placement has finished.
